The offering marks a shift for the institutional giant, which maintains its core portfolio management and risk protocols while utilizing Centrifuge’s digital infrastructure for distribution. Subscriptions and redemptions for the fund will settle exclusively in USDC, targeting eligible investors rather than the broader retail market. This move signals an expansion of tokenized credit beyond the U.S. Treasuries and money market funds that have dominated real-world asset activity to date.

New York Life Investment Management brings $807B strategy onchain
New York Life Investment Management is testing the limits of traditional finance by moving its U.S. high-yield corporate bond strategy onto the blockchain. Through a partnership with infrastructure provider Centrifuge, the $807 billion asset manager has launched the NYLIM Anemoy U.S. High Yield Corporate Bond Segregated Portfolio, known as HYB.

Thomas Sy, head of multi-asset solutions at NYLIM, described the move as a response to growing demand for transparency and efficiency in investment distribution. Centrifuge co-founder Anil Sood noted that the collaboration aims to address a gap for onchain investors that traditional systems have struggled to fill. As asset managers increasingly experiment with blockchain-based settlement, this launch positions NYLIM among a select group of major firms integrating decentralized rails into their fixed-income operations.
