The upgrade reduces what previously required two separate XRPL signatures to a single transaction. When a user selects a vault, the Flare Data Connector verifies the XRPL transaction on the Flare network, triggering a smart contract linked to the user’s address to handle the asset minting and deployment. This process maintains a non-custodial approach while keeping the user’s collateral secured on the XRPL ledger through the 1:1 FXRP model.
Flare is simultaneously expanding its yield strategy options with the addition of the Clearstar Flare XRP Yield Vault. This joins the existing Monarq vault to provide a choice between active, multi-strategy management and a fully on-chain deployment across lending protocols like Avant and Euler. The platform is also increasing hardware and software wallet compatibility, with new support for Ledger, Xaman, and Joey Wallet. Notably, Joey Wallet has integrated the feature directly as an in-app dApp, allowing for immediate participation without leaving the interface.
