Rebecca McKillican Appointed to BCE Board as Katherine Lee Retires

McKillican brings a background in health-tech and e-commerce to the board, having previously led Well.ca before its acquisition by McKesson. She currently serves on the board of the National Bank of Canada, where she chairs the Technology Committee. BCE Chair Louis Vachon cited her experience in healthcare leadership and digital transformation as key factors for her selection, noting a prior professional relationship during his tenure at the National Bank.

Mirko Bibic, President and CEO of BCE, emphasized that her expertise in driving operational excellence is expected to support Bell’s growth strategies. The change follows the retirement of Katherine Lee, whose 11-year tenure included oversight on the Audit and Corporate Governance committees. BCE maintains a 12-year term limit for directors, a policy designed to balance institutional knowledge with the introduction of fresh perspectives.
