Biodance Scales Its Hydrogel Skincare Empire Across Europe

A 2013 recovery journey following a serious accident led founder Mihwa Kim to rethink medical-grade hydrogel for daily use. Today, her Seoul-based brand, Biodance, has moved beyond viral social media fame, selling over 300 million masks and launching a full-scale retail expansion across 17 European countries.

Biodance Scales Its Hydrogel Skincare Empire Across Europe

The brand’s rapid ascent centers on the Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask, a product that turned hydrogel technology into a global beauty phenomenon with over 1 billion video views. Moving past the single-mask success, the company is now embedding its restorative philosophy into a broader product ecosystem. This expansion includes the debut of Hydrogel Eye Patches and a Jelly Serum Mist at Sephora, alongside the rollout of the Invisible Collagen Peptide Sun Fluid on Amazon.

By leveraging partnerships with retailers like Douglas and Sephora, Biodance is positioning its hydrogel-inspired formulas as a long-term alternative to temporary aesthetic fixes. The strategy focuses on the Collagen and Caviar PDRN collections, aiming to replicate the brand's South Korean success by offering European consumers specialized hydration and UV protection built on the same principles of skin recovery and balance.
