Futu Holdings Faces Securities Class Action Over Regulatory Compliance

Investors who purchased Futu Holdings Limited shares between May 24, 2023, and May 27, 2026, are being urged to join a securities class action lawsuit. The Gross Law Firm initiated the litigation, citing allegations that the company misled shareholders regarding its regulatory standing and licensing requirements within mainland China.

Futu Holdings Faces Securities Class Action Over Regulatory Compliance

The complaint alleges that Futu operated securities, public fund sales, and futures businesses in China without obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals. According to the filing, these omissions led to the overstatement of the company’s financial performance and rendered public statements regarding its business health misleading. Shareholders claim that the firm faced a high likelihood of regulatory penalties, including the potential disgorgement of ill-gotten gains.

Those who suffered financial losses during the specified class period have until August 25, 2026, to file an application to serve as lead plaintiff. The Gross Law Firm notes that participation in the suit does not require an immediate appointment as lead plaintiff, and registration provides investors with ongoing portfolio monitoring. The litigation aims to recover losses stemming from the artificial inflation of the stock price, which plaintiffs attribute to the company’s failure to disclose its compliance issues.
