Azrieli Foundation Boosts Northwestern Ontario Fire Relief Fund

Donations have arrived from across the globe, including contributors from the United States, Ireland, and Australia, highlighting a widespread effort to address both immediate crisis needs and long-term recovery. Every new dollar donated will be matched by the Azrieli Foundation until the $50,000 threshold is reached.

André Beaulieu, CEO of the Azrieli Foundation, noted that the contribution is intended to bolster both emergency response and community resilience throughout the coming months. Allocation of the funds remains a collaborative process, involving the City of Thunder Bay Community Support Table and various Indigenous organizations. This partnership ensures that resources flow directly to front-line agencies providing essential services to evacuees and those displaced by the fires.
