More than 13 million individuals across Europe and the United States suffer from mitral regurgitation, yet fewer than 5% of those with moderate to severe cases receive intervention. By folding AVVie’s research infrastructure and intellectual property into its existing operational framework, P&F aims to accelerate the regulatory and clinical development of the AngelValve™ technology.

P&F Acquires AVVie to Expand Mitral Valve Treatment Portfolio
Vienna-based P&F Products & Features GmbH has acquired AVVie GmbH, a move designed to integrate the AngelValve™ Augmentation System into its global structural heart pipeline. This transcatheter platform targets patients with mitral regurgitation who currently face limited options, marking a strategic push to address a significant clinical gap in cardiovascular care.

Katharina Kiss, CEO of P&F, noted that the merger aligns the engineering prowess of the AVVie team with P&F’s established clinical trial and manufacturing capabilities. While the financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed, the acquisition positions the combined entity to scale its reach in the structural heart market, where P&F has maintained a presence for over 25 years. The company currently operates in roughly 70 countries, leveraging production facilities spanning Europe, Asia, and Brazil.
