Universal Music Group Launches €250 Million Share Buyback

Universal Music Group Launches €250 Million Share Buyback

The company plans to utilize the repurchased stock to satisfy obligations under its 2022 Global Equity Plan and potentially to reduce its overall share capital. Trading will be handled by a designated broker across several European exchanges, including Euronext Amsterdam, Turquoise Europe, Aquis Exchange Europe, and CBOE Europe Limited.

Execution of the program remains subject to strict regulatory compliance under the EU Market Abuse Regulation. Management retains the discretion to suspend, modify, or terminate the buyback at any point before the September deadline. This initiative operates within the existing mandate approved by the Board of Directors on May 13, 2026.
