The corporation’s adjusted EBITDA reached $627.4 million, a 3.7% increase over the same period last year. This growth persisted despite a $39.5 million headwind from stock-based compensation expenses tied to the company's rising share price. Net income attributable to shareholders rose by $53.2 million, hitting $270.9 million, or $1.21 per basic share.
Driving these results, the telecommunications arm added 53,200 mobile subscriber connections, while average monthly revenue per user grew by 2.5%. Quebecor also expanded its technological footprint by increasing its stake in Etiya, a Turkey-based software firm, to 70%. This move aims to accelerate the deployment of AI-powered business support systems across the company’s Videotron, Freedom, and Fizz brands.
