Chemours Expands Cooling Portfolio for AI-Driven Data Centers
As artificial intelligence infrastructure demands more robust thermal management, The Chemours Company has introduced two new refrigerants, Opteon™ ZE and Opteon™ 515B, designed to optimize cooling efficiency in stationary chillers while meeting stringent climate and sustainability requirements for mission-critical facilities.

Opteon™ ZE, an HFO-based refrigerant, targets high-performance needs with an ultra-low global warming potential (GWP) of approximately 1 and zero ozone depletion potential. Classified as ASHRAE A2L, it is engineered for water- and air-cooled chillers. In contrast, Opteon™ 515B serves as an A1-classified, non-flammable alternative with a GWP of 293, offering a straightforward transition path for operators moving away from higher-impact refrigerants. Both products are available immediately in strategic markets to support the growing demand for scalable cooling infrastructure.
