LIMPID Secures $1.1 Million Deep-Tech Grant for Pet AI Platform

The funding, awarded by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, follows a rigorous selection process that requires recommendation by an accredited venture operator. LIMPID earned its spot through The Invention Lab, building on a track record that includes successfully completing a prior TIPS research initiative. The new capital will accelerate the development of video-AI behavioral biomarkers, which analyze everyday pet movements on LIMPID’s proprietary GPU infrastructure to identify early signs of chronic illness.

This investment complements a separate KRW 6.8 billion initiative led by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. In that program, LIMPID collaborates with academic and clinical partners, including Sookmyung Women's University and the Korea Testing Certification Institute, to translate behavioral data—such as respiratory rates and water intake—into actionable health indicators. CEO and veterinarian Heesu Kim noted that this dual validation from government and private sectors confirms the efficacy of the company’s "detect, alert, respond" loop. The company, which saw revenue grow 390 percent in 2025, intends to leverage this non-dilutive funding to scale its operations following the July launch of the Kinfora platform.
