The Huntington-based contractor attributed the growth to sustained demand across its water distribution, electrical construction, and gas transmission segments. Favorable spring weather allowed project timelines to accelerate, helping the firm overcome a margin squeeze caused by a specific large-scale gas transmission project. While gross profit rose to $14.3 million, the gross margin dipped slightly to 11.0% compared to 11.6% in the prior-year period.

President Doug Reynolds cited the national infrastructure replacement cycle and the expanding footprint of data centers as primary drivers for future optimism. Despite a backlog that shifted to $286.6 million from $325.1 million at the end of the previous quarter, the company maintains a strong outlook on its ability to deliver long-term shareholder returns through its diversified business model. Selling and administrative expenses saw an uptick to $9.7 million, reflecting increased labor costs necessary to support the company's ongoing expansion.
