Pump.fun Revenue Surges Past $10 Million Weekly

Pump.fun shattered its previous performance records between August 3 and August 9, generating $10.03 million in protocol fees. This milestone marks the first time the Solana-based token launch platform has cleared the $10 million threshold in a single week, signaling a sharp recovery in trading activity across its ecosystem.

Pump.fun Revenue Surges Past $10 Million Weekly

The platform’s growth has propelled it past Hyperliquid in 30-day revenue metrics, with DefiLlama data showing $35.67 million for Pump.fun compared to $32.46 million for its competitor. This surge is underpinned by a total ecosystem trading volume of $2.97 billion, the highest level recorded since late January. Much of this activity stems from the platform’s diversified product suite, including the bonding curve mechanism, PumpSwap exchange, and the Terminal trading tool.

Central to the token's recent performance is a aggressive buyback and burn strategy. During the same seven-day window, the platform utilized $5.02 million to retire 2.15 billion PUMP tokens. This commitment to divert half of all revenue toward supply reduction has offset 15.7% of the original token supply to date. Despite a 33.8% weekly price gain to $0.0028, traders remain focused on the upcoming August 12 unlock, which will release 6.875 billion PUMP tokens into circulation.

While market metrics show momentum, the platform continues to navigate legal hurdles. A federal lawsuit, Aguilar v. Baton Corporation Ltd., remains active in the Southern District of New York, with plaintiffs alleging securities violations. As the legal process unfolds, the sustainability of the current revenue rebound remains the primary focus for market observers, particularly as the platform expands into social trading features like zero-fee alerts and cross-chain USDC transactions.
