The transition follows a unanimous decision by the company’s Board of Directors. Loose, who currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer, has been a fixture at the Dublin-based firm since 1998. Board Chairman James Miles credited Mason with driving significant revenue diversification and financial stability, noting that her tenure arrived as demand for private deposit insurance surged among credit unions.

After a nearly three-decade career at American Share Insurance, Kurt Loose has been tapped to lead the organization as its next President and CEO. He will officially step into the role on April 15, 2027, taking the reins from outgoing executive Theresa Mason following her planned spring retirement.

Throughout his 28-year tenure, Loose has built deep ties with legislative leaders and industry trade groups.
