FlyUSA Secures Third Consecutive Inc. 5000 Spot Under Barry Shevlin

The Tampa-based company reported 966% three-year growth in 2025, landing at number 419 on the annual list of fastest-growing private U.S. firms. Under Shevlin’s leadership, the workforce has swelled from 25 to over 100 employees, while the client base has expanded from 800 to more than 2,000. Shevlin, who previously steered Vology to 11 consecutive appearances on the list, credits the sustained performance to a strategy of investing during economic downturns rather than retreating.

Shevlin emphasizes that scaling a business requires moving away from informal processes that break under pressure. To manage its current growth, the firm is developing a proprietary platform called FusionOS, designed to integrate sales, marketing, and flight operations. The goal is to reach 100 managed aircraft and $500 million in annual revenue by 2032. "The challenge is building FlyUSA for the next level without losing the responsiveness, judgment, and customer focus that got us here," Shevlin said. By prioritizing client feedback—such as the addition of jet cards and fractional ownership—the company aims to maintain its momentum as it approaches the $100 million annual revenue threshold.
