Ripple Backs fixCleanup3_3_0 as XRPL Validator Voting Begins

Ripple has formally signaled support for the fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment, contributing to an early count of eight votes out of the 35 required for XRP Ledger activation. The proposal bundles technical corrections for automated market makers, lending protocols, and vault systems, though it remains well below the 80% supermajority threshold.

The amendment, released as part of xrpld version 3.3.0, serves as a maintenance package rather than a standalone feature set. It addresses precision loss in liquidity pools, refines check-handling protocols, and updates pseudo-account operations. By unifying freeze and deep-freeze checks, the code aims to resolve inconsistencies in transaction types such as VaultWithdraw and LoanBrokerCoverDeposit.

Activation of the package requires at least 29 affirmative votes from the network's trusted validator list maintained over a two-week period. Currently, no timeline exists for this transition, as the proposal is one of several competing for consensus. Other active amendments include ConfidentialTransfer and DynamicMPT, which seek to introduce private transfers and flexible token properties respectively. While Ripple has endorsed both the fixCleanup update and separate proposals for lending and vault systems, these initiatives face independent voting cycles.

Node operators are encouraged to update to version 3.3.0 to ensure synchronization, as servers failing to recognize activated amendments risk becoming blocked from the ledger. Market participants continue to monitor these governance developments alongside XRP's recent price action, which saw the token stabilize near $1.06 amid mixed signals in derivatives open interest.
