The Excel London circuit presents a unique challenge, featuring a 2.077-kilometre layout that weaves through exhibition halls before transitioning to outdoor asphalt. Drivers must navigate 20 turns marked by shifting light, elevation changes, and contrasting grip levels. With energy consumption expected to remain low, track position during qualifying will be critical to securing a podium finish.
Jaguar TCS Racing currently leads the Teams' standings by 14 points over the Porsche Formula E Team, though Porsche has already clinched the Manufacturers' World Championship. Hankook, serving as the event's title partner, will supply the entire grid with its iON Race tyres. Manfred Sandbichler, Senior Director of Hankook Motorsport, noted that the tyre was engineered to provide a stable platform while cars move repeatedly between the venue’s indoor and outdoor sections.
