Ardelyx Faces Shareholder Investigation After Revenue Guidance Cut

Investors are weighing potential securities claims against Ardelyx after the company slashed its 2026 revenue projections, triggering an 18% slide in share price. The drop followed management’s admission that unexpected payer restrictions on its drug IBSRELA had disrupted growth, forcing a withdrawal of long-term financial targets.

The legal scrutiny centers on whether the pharmaceutical company adequately disclosed the risks posed by utilization-management restrictions before the August 6 guidance revision. Ardelyx lowered its full-year 2026 revenue outlook for IBSRELA to a range of $350 million to $370 million, down from a previous forecast of $410 million to $430 million. During an earnings call, leadership described these reimbursement hurdles as unanticipated, despite prior warnings regarding the impact of Medicare Part D coverage changes on its other key product, XPHOZAH.

Levi & Korsinsky, operating under the SueWallSt banner, has launched an investigation into potential securities law violations. The firm is currently reviewing claims for investors who purchased shares at prices they allege were artificially inflated by incomplete disclosures. Under the current investigation, eligibility for potential recovery is not restricted to current shareholders; those who sold at a loss following the August 7 market decline may also qualify for a review of their holdings.
