Pulsenmore Secures $1.27 Million Grant for AI Ultrasound Innovation
The Israel Innovation Authority has awarded Pulsenmore a $1.27 million grant to accelerate the development of its SmartScan AI program. This funding, the second of its kind in a month, underscores the company's push to integrate artificial intelligence into home ultrasound technology and streamline remote diagnostic workflows.
Dr. Elazar Sonnenschein, founder and CEO of Pulsenmore, stated that the company is building an AI layer that spans from initial image acquisition to final clinical assessment. This strategy is intended to allow healthcare teams to manage a higher volume of remote examinations without proportional increases in clinical staffing. The SmartScan AI platform will target three primary areas: monitoring fetal well-being, providing visual feedback on fetal position during labor preparation, and tracking endometrial thickness for fertility treatments. Including this latest award, Pulsenmore has received approximately $1.6 million in AI-focused grants over the past four weeks, supporting programs with a total scope of $3.12 million.
