Port of Subs Targets Back-to-School Season With New Menu and Rewards

As summer fades into the back-to-school rush, Reno-based sandwich franchise Port of Subs is rolling out a seasonal menu expansion and a series of promotional incentives. The chain aims to capture the busy end-of-summer market by pairing new limited-time items with aggressive loyalty rewards and expanded catering options for families.

The seasonal menu is headlined by a Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich, which combines grilled chicken, ham, Swiss cheese, and honey mustard on the brand's signature bread. Complementing the launch are two limited-time additions: Jalapeño Cheddar Bread and a Brookie dessert. These items will remain available at participating locations through September 30, 2026.

According to CEO Healey Mendicino, the strategy focuses on convenience for families and community teams navigating the transition back to the classroom. To drive engagement, the company is leveraging its Port Perks loyalty program. Throughout August, members can participate in a "Bring the Kids" challenge, while a "Back-to-School Spinner" game in late August offers chances to win free sandwiches. The brand is also incentivizing group dining by offering a $25 reward coupon on catering orders of $150 or more during September, alongside free delivery over the Labor Day weekend.
