Risepoint Buys Keypath North American Division to Bolster Healthcare Training

Dallas-based Risepoint has acquired the North American operations of Keypath Education, a strategic move aimed at scaling online healthcare degree programs. The deal integrates one of the industry's largest clinical placement networks into Risepoint’s portfolio, directly addressing the logistical bottlenecks that often prevent universities from expanding nursing and clinical social work cohorts.

The acquisition brings over 20 university partnerships under the Risepoint umbrella, alongside a robust infrastructure capable of facilitating student clinical rotations. Keypath’s existing footprint includes connections to nearly 15,000 healthcare sites and a database of 28,000 preceptors, resources that have already supported more than 55,000 student placements. By absorbing these assets, Risepoint aims to solve the persistent shortage of clinical training slots that frequently limits program growth in fields like speech-language pathology, counseling, and pharmacy.

Fernando Bleichmar, CEO of Risepoint, noted that the merger is designed to provide universities with a scalable model to meet both student interest and urgent regional workforce needs. Steve Fireng, who founded Keypath, stated that the transition aligns with the company’s long-standing mission to support high-quality career preparation. For universities, the combined platform offers a streamlined pathway to launch or grow hybrid healthcare programs without the burden of building clinical networks from the ground up.
