Michael Kosta to Headline Rescheduled Karmanos Comedy Fundraiser

The event, originally slated for May, serves as the primary engine for the Office of Cancer Research Training and Education Coordination. Proceeds will provide mentorship and career development for students ranging from high schoolers to postdoctoral researchers. Arnold D’Ambrosio, chief development officer at Karmanos, noted that the delay has not dampened the mission to support the next generation of scientists tasked with securing future breakthroughs in oncology.

Hosted by 101 WRIF’s Jade Springart, the evening kicks off with a performance by the improv group Hip-Prov, followed by Kosta’s headline set. The night concludes with an afterparty featuring the band Green Machine, a group with personal ties to the institute, including members who are cancer survivors and radiologists. Tickets from the original date remain valid, and new general admission tickets are available for $250, with premium packages offering meet-and-greet access with Kosta.
