LaserAway Expands to 227 Clinics in Two-Decade Growth Milestone

Two decades after launching on Sunset Boulevard, LaserAway has reached 227 locations with the opening of its newest clinic in Kingwood, Texas. The company, which remains founder-led and privately operated, marks this anniversary by maintaining a record of continuous expansion without a single clinic closure since its 2006 inception.

LaserAway Expands to 227 Clinics in Two-Decade Growth Milestone

Founded by Dr. Roy Winston alongside Scott, Brock, and Todd Heckmann, the Los Angeles–based firm has grown from a single West Hollywood storefront into the country's largest aesthetic dermatology provider. CEO Scott Heckmann attributes this trajectory to a focus on balancing medical precision with accessibility, moving away from the industry's traditional, exclusive model to serve a broader market.

Operating across 36 states, the brand maintains its clinical standards through a medical board of over 25 board-certified dermatologists, led by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Will Kirby. The new Kingwood facility, located at 726 Kingwood Dr., offers the company’s standard suite of non-invasive services, ranging from laser hair removal and Botox to body contouring treatments like CoolSculpting. With a workforce exceeding 700 nurses, the company continues its model of direct ownership, eschewing franchising to retain control over its service delivery.
