Kerry Vitolano Tapped to Lead US Risk Management at AXA XL

Vitolano will report directly to Matthew Stitham, the Chief Underwriting Officer for Casualty in the Americas. Her mandate includes steering the East Primary Casualty team while serving as a strategic resource for national operations. As a member of the Americas Casualty Leadership team, she is tasked with driving cross-selling initiatives and deepening broker partnerships to uncover new business opportunities across Large Commercial and Specialty lines.

Stitham noted that Vitolano’s background in managing loss-sensitive portfolios—specifically within the energy, construction, and corporate sectors—will prove vital as the firm navigates rising litigation and emerging market risks. Before this appointment, Vitolano spent over two decades in the industry, most recently serving as Vice President and Risk Management Branch Manager at AIG for the New York and Boston regions. Her career also includes underwriting and risk management tenures at Travelers and the ACE Group, now known as Chubb.
