WACO Corp. Scales ATLAS Smart Water Stations After Tokyo Trial

After a successful stint in Shinjuku supermarkets, Seoul-based WACO Corp. is moving to commercialize its redesigned ATLAS smart water refill stations. The pilot project, which concluded this August, validated the system’s shift from a basic dispenser to a comprehensive public infrastructure solution capable of advanced purification and integrated hygiene management.

WACO Corp. Scales ATLAS Smart Water Stations After Tokyo Trial

The redesigned ATLAS units, first deployed in November 2025, trade the utilitarian look of standard fountains for a sleek aesthetic intended to blend into high-traffic public environments. During the Tokyo trial, users evaluated the stations on water quality, temperature, and ease of use, with the system receiving high marks for its purification reliability. Beyond simple dispensing, the units feature UV LED sterilization, dedicated tumbler washing stations, and IoT-enabled maintenance tracking for facility operators.

WACO Corp. intends to leverage this feedback to accelerate its entry into the Japanese market before pursuing broader international deployment. With two decades of expertise in water treatment, the company is pivoting from residential purifiers toward smart urban infrastructure. The ATLAS system functions as an eco-friendly alternative to bottled water, utilizing digital signage and real-time monitoring to bridge the gap between public utility and modern consumer demand.
