Tiger Group Auctions $6 Million in Assets from Grow Materials

More than $6 million in industrial plastics, laboratory hardware, and production machinery is hitting the auction block following the closure of Grow Materials, LLC. The court-appointed sale, managed by Tiger Commercial & Industrial, liquidates assets previously held at the distributor’s former processing plants in Georgia and Texas.

Bidding for the collection opens August 20 at 10 a.m. CT and runs through August 27 via the SoldTiger platform. The inventory stems from the collapse of a company that specialized in sorting and testing recycled resins to serve as high-quality alternatives to virgin feedstock. John Coelho, senior director at Tiger Commercial & Industrial, noted that the inclusion of sophisticated testing equipment—such as spectrometers and calorimeters—makes this sale particularly relevant for firms looking to enhance their quality control capabilities.

The auction features a diverse catalog, ranging from heavy-duty machinery like the Nissei NEX80V 88-ton injection molding unit to a fleet of vehicles including a 2022 BMW 330i XDrive and a 2018 Tesla Model S. Beyond the high-end production assets, the sale covers a vast array of engineering resins, including various grades of nylon, polycarbonate, and liquid crystal polymer. Interested parties can inspect the equipment at the Cartersville and Houston facilities on August 26, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. local time.
