First Mold Expands Large-Part Production for North American Market

A 2,500-ton injection machine now anchors First Mold’s production capacity in Guanajuato, marking a strategic shift toward larger component manufacturing. The company will showcase this new capability at Meximold 2026, held October 14-15 at the Querétaro Convention Center, as it deepens its footprint within the North American supply chain.

Returning to the exhibition for a second consecutive year, the manufacturer intends to demonstrate its expertise through a curated display of automotive, medical, and consumer electronic components. General Manager James Li will lead the team, focusing on the practical application of precision molding and the specific tolerances that define their nearshore production model. By integrating this high-tonnage equipment, the firm aims to address demand for large-volume plastic parts while maintaining the rapid prototyping cycles required by regional clients.

Beyond the hardware, the exhibit serves as a technical consultation hub where attendees can evaluate yield rates and project ROI directly with the engineering staff. To incentivize partnerships, the company is offering a 5% discount on future manufacturing orders for those who pre-register through their portal. This presence in Santiago de Querétaro underscores a broader commitment to optimizing manufacturing costs and product quality for North American buyers.
