The lawsuit, Lawler v. Hub Group, Inc., alleges that the supply chain solutions provider misled shareholders by failing to disclose errors in its financial reporting. According to the complaint, the company prematurely recognized transactions and understated transportation costs, leading to inaccurate financial statements for 2023, 2024, and the first three quarters of 2025.
The firm reportedly announced on February 5, 2026, that it would restate its 2025 financial results due to a $77 million understatement of accounts payable and purchased transportation costs. That disclosure triggered an 18% decline in the company's share price. A subsequent announcement on May 12, 2026, revealed that financial reports for 2023 and 2024 were also unreliable, citing inadequate internal controls. Shares fell an additional 13% following that revelation.
