Her nine-stroke win coincided with a record-breaking charitable achievement for the tournament, which generated $4.95 million to advance heart healthcare initiatives across Alberta.
On the course, Yamashita finished at 23 under par, distancing herself from the field in a display of precision that drew record crowds to the Edmonton venue. CPKC President and CEO Keith Creel credited the success of the week to the combined engagement of volunteers, local fans, and the broader Alberta community. Since the inception of the CPKC Women's Open fundraising initiative in 2014, the tournament has funneled more than $31 million into children's cardiac health, part of a larger $78 million effort by the company to support heart health across North America.
