With the addition of Southwest Power Pool, New York ISO, and ISO New England, ElectronX now provides intraday hedging tools for every deregulated power grid in the United States. The Chicago-based exchange, which operates as a regulated Designated Contract Market and Derivatives Clearing Organization, now offers hourly bounded futures and binary options across the entire national landscape. These new instruments include specific hubs and interfaces, such as the New York City zone in NYISO and internal hubs for ISO-NE. This rollout follows a rapid development cycle that began after the firm received CFTC approval in August 2025.

CEO Sam Tegel described the milestone as the culmination of the exchange’s goal to provide precise intraday trading to the power derivatives sector. Since launching its first contracts for the Electric Reliability Council of Texas in February, the firm has systematically added PJM, MISO, and CAISO suites to its portfolio. To further increase accessibility, the exchange is preparing to introduce intermediated trading via Futures Commission Merchants later this year, following a recent amendment to its regulatory order.
