General Bryan Fenton Joins Enigma Aerospace Advisory Board

Fenton’s career is defined by his tenure at the helm of U.S. Special Operations Command, where he oversaw 70,000 personnel and a $14 billion budget. Beyond his final post, his resume includes commanding the Joint Special Operations Command and serving as Senior Military Assistant to two Secretaries of Defense. His operational experience stretches across Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Indo-Pacific, providing him with a first-hand view of the logistical failures that often plague modern warfare.

At Enigma, Fenton will focus on accelerating the deployment of the Phoenix aircraft family and the Strata logistics platform. He joins a board already populated by retired senior officers, including former Air Mobility Command chief General Mike Minihan and former Army Materiel Command head Lieutenant General Charles Hamilton. CEO Reese Mozer emphasized that Fenton’s role is to bridge the gap between military requirements and the practical scaling of autonomous flight systems for the joint force.

For Fenton, the shift to Enigma is a continuation of his work addressing the "tyranny of distance" in the Pacific. He noted that sustaining forces in degraded environments remains a critical vulnerability, requiring immediate innovation. By moving into an advisory capacity, he aims to ensure that autonomous cargo capabilities reach the warfighter faster, directly tackling the logistics bottlenecks that current defense strategies struggle to overcome.
