Solana Transactions Hit Record High as SOL Price Reclaims $100

Solana processed a record 4.2 billion transactions in July, a 13.5% jump from June that mirrors the network's surging market utility. This milestone arrives as the SOL token rallied 40% over eight days, crossing the $100 threshold for the first time since February amid broader shifts in global liquidity.

Solana Transactions Hit Record High as SOL Price Reclaims $100

The network’s recent performance marks a staggering 91% increase in monthly transaction volume since December 2025. Data from The Kobeissi Letter highlights that Solana handled 2 billion more transactions this July than it did seven months prior. This momentum extends beyond simple volume, with non-vote activity reaching a record 1.32 billion transactions during the week of August 17 to August 23.

Institutional interest and decentralized finance expansion are fueling this growth. Solana-based decentralized exchange volume surged 103% to $20.14 billion in a single week, while the value of tokenized real-world assets on the network climbed to nearly $4 billion by August 25. This expansion in tokenized debt and assets positions Solana as a major hub for on-chain financial infrastructure.

Market participants largely attribute the price recovery to the U.S. Treasury’s August 19 decision to increase liquidity-support buybacks for long-dated government securities. By raising the maximum operation size to $4 billion starting in September, the Treasury helped lower long-term yields, easing borrowing costs and sparking a rally across risk assets. While SOL remains significantly below its January 2025 peak of $295, the recent reclaim of the $100 level suggests renewed confidence among both retail and institutional investors, the latter of whom now hold over $1 billion in U.S.-listed Solana exchange-traded funds.
