GameAbove Secures Apparel Patch Sponsorship for EMU Golf Programs

The GameAbove logo is set to debut on Eastern Michigan University’s official golf uniforms for the 2026-27 season. This partnership marks a strategic expansion of the investment firm’s involvement with the university, capitalizing on the rising national profile of both the men’s and women’s Division I golf programs.

GameAbove Secures Apparel Patch Sponsorship for EMU Golf Programs

This branding deal arrives as collegiate athletics increasingly embraces commercial patch sponsorships to bolster support for student-athletes. The move follows a landmark 2026 campaign for the EMU women’s team, which reached the NCAA Championship semifinals and secured a third-place national finish, becoming the first Division I program in Michigan to win a national match play event.

Keith J. Stone, chairman and founder of GameAbove, stated that the organization aims to align with programs demonstrating high-level performance and innovation. The sponsorship extends beyond competition apparel, granting the brand visibility across team photography, digital media, and major conference events. This latest collaboration builds upon a long-standing financial relationship, which includes a previous $6.5 million commitment in 2024 and the development of the 13,000-square-foot GameAbove Golf Performance Center at Eagle Crest Golf Course. Dan McLean, EMU Golf general manager, noted that the sponsorship serves as a testament to the commercial interest and competitive success the university has cultivated in recent years.
