Bell of Oxford Middle School, Manning from Ocean Springs Upper Elementary, and Modrall of Lake Elementary in the Pascagoula-Gautier School District are among only 26 educators nationwide to receive this honor this year. Three Mississippi Teachers Named to National Extraordinary Educators List
Earl Bell, Amy Manning, and D'Rae Modrall have been named to the 2026 class of Extraordinary Educators by Curriculum Associates, a distinction recognizing instructional excellence among K–8 teachers. The three Mississippi instructors were chosen from a national pool of over 170 candidates for their innovative use of data-driven classroom tools.
The recognition places these Mississippi teachers into a yearlong professional learning community. Throughout the upcoming academic cycle, they will participate in leadership development programs and attend the annual Extraordinary Educators Leadership Summit. This initiative is designed to help honorees share insights, collaborate with peers across the country, and amplify their impact on student learning.
