Investors File Securities Class Action Against PROCEPT BioRobotics

The complaint, filed by Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, covers investors who acquired PROCEPT common stock between February 28, 2024, and February 25, 2026. Allegations center on the company’s proprietary Aquablation therapy and its single-use handpieces, which are central to the firm's revenue claims. According to the filing, PROCEPT incentivized customers to place bulk orders that far exceeded actual procedure demands, effectively pulling forward future revenue to mask decelerating growth.

The truth emerged through a series of quarterly disclosures that triggered a significant share price decline. By February 25, 2026, PROCEPT stock had plummeted over 48% from its August 2025 peak. Management eventually admitted to an accumulation of more than 10,000 excess handpiece units in the field, leading to the termination of the previously undisclosed bulk-discount program. Partner Reed Kathrein, who is leading the investigation, stated the firm is scrutinizing whether the company intentionally misled shareholders regarding its sales practices and inventory management.

Investors who incurred substantial losses have until September 22, 2026, to file for lead plaintiff status. Hagens Berman is also inviting whistleblowers with non-public information to come forward, noting the potential for rewards under SEC programs for original information regarding corporate wrongdoing.
