Viva Biotech Revenue Climbs 21% as CDMO and AI Initiatives Expand

The company’s CRO segment generated RMB405.1 million in revenue, supported by a growing client base that now includes all of the world's top 10 pharmaceutical firms. A major contributor to this segment is the integration of AI-driven platforms, which accounted for 14% of CRO revenue. Viva Biotech reached a milestone of 108,163 delivered protein structures, with 9,278 new structures added in the first six months of the year. The firm’s focus on new modalities—such as peptides, antibodies, and PROTACs—saw a nearly 11% year-on-year increase, representing 17.7% of total CRO earnings.

Langhua Pharmaceutical, the group's CDMO arm, emerged as a significant growth engine with revenue rising 47% to RMB601.4 million. The division successfully transitioned its CMC business to profitability while advancing two major commercial projects into production and the PPQ stage. To support continued volume growth, the company is adding 400 cubic meters of production capacity to its existing 860-cubic-meter infrastructure. Meanwhile, Viva Biotech continues to cycle capital from its venture portfolio, generating RMB218.4 million from exits to reinvest into its pipeline of 93 incubated start-ups.
