The Faros Pro expands Bittium’s presence in international markets outside the United States, marking a significant update to the company’s cardiac diagnostic portfolio. Engineered for patient comfort during daily routines, the device provides up to 21 days of continuous recording on a single charge. By extending the monitoring window, the technology seeks to capture elusive heart rhythm events, potentially reducing the risk of serious complications like stroke through earlier medical intervention.

Bittium Unveils Faros Pro for Extended Ambulatory ECG Monitoring
Finnish medical technology firm Bittium has introduced the Faros Pro, an ambulatory ECG device paired with the single-use EasyFlex electrode patch. Designed to capture high-fidelity heart rhythm data over periods of up to 30 days, the system aims to help clinicians identify intermittent arrhythmias that often evade shorter diagnostic tests.

Building on a legacy of over 600,000 Faros units deployed globally, this latest iteration emphasizes signal accuracy and clinical reliability. Niina Huikuri, Senior Vice President of the Medical Business Segment, noted that the device is intended to bridge the gap between complex biosignal measurement and patient-friendly diagnostics. The system holds a CE mark under the EU Medical Device Regulation and is scheduled for demonstration at the upcoming ESC Congress 2026 in Munich.
