AccuGuard Launches Mobile Environmental Testing Franchise Model

Tamarac-based AccuGuard Environmental is moving to disrupt the traditional lab-testing industry by launching a mobile franchise model. By utilizing "The Mobile Lab," the company aims to replace the standard off-site sample collection process with on-site, near-instant analysis for asbestos, lead, and mold contamination in restoration projects.

The franchise opportunity, backed by parent company PuroSystems, LLC, targets a niche in the restoration and insurance sectors where project delays often stem from waiting on laboratory results. According to company data, the model reports a unit gross revenue of $550,783, with an 86% gross profit margin. The operation is designed to be home-based, requiring minimal staff—typically one trained analyst and one business development lead—to manage the daily workload.

Founder Ben Doebler frames the shift as a necessary modernization of a stagnant sector. While restoration technology has advanced significantly over the last decade, testing methods have remained largely unchanged for 40 years. By bringing the laboratory to the site, AccuGuard seeks to cut the standard turnaround time, allowing contractors and property owners to proceed with remediation phases without the typical logistical bottlenecks. Mark W. Davis, CEO of PuroSystems, noted that the model has already generated significant interest among third-party administrators and insurance carriers looking to reduce claim severity through faster data acquisition.
