Bizcap US Challenges Traditional Lending by Bypassing Credit Scores

Most business lenders rely on personal credit scores to measure risk, but Bizcap is betting that a company’s actual revenue and growth trajectory tell a more accurate story. By ignoring the traditional gatekeepers of capital, the firm aims to capture a segment of the US market underserved by conventional banks.

Bizcap US Challenges Traditional Lending by Bypassing Credit Scores

Founded in 2019, the global non-bank lender has already deployed $5 billion to more than 100,000 businesses across seven countries. Co-founders Albert Gahfi and Zalman Blachman argue that personal financial history is often an unreliable proxy for a business’s health. Instead, their model focuses on current trading performance, allowing them to approve financing for companies that might otherwise be rejected by institutional lenders.

Speed remains a primary competitive advantage for the firm. Bizcap offers approvals in as little as three hours and provides same-day funding for eligible applicants. With financing options up to $2 million, the company targets businesses generating at least $20,000 in monthly revenue. According to Gahfi, the goal is to provide a flexible alternative for owners facing seasonal cash flow gaps or those needing rapid capital for equipment and inventory, without forcing them through the rigid, time-consuming criteria of traditional banking.
