Centric Software Updates PLM Platform to Meet Global Compliance Mandates

As regulatory pressure mounts from the EU’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation and impending Digital Product Passports, Centric Software has expanded its PLM platform to serve as a unified hub for sustainability and compliance data, aiming to help brands consolidate fragmented information into actionable product records.

Centric Software Updates PLM Platform to Meet Global Compliance Mandates

The California-based company is positioning its latest enhancements to Centric PLM as a necessity for companies struggling to keep pace with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) requirements. Rather than relying on isolated point solutions, the software now embeds compliance and traceability directly into the product development cycle. This shift allows teams to capture material and supplier data once, ensuring consistency from initial design through to commercialization.

Sandy Flint, Senior Materials Manager at STIO, noted that the platform’s ability to centralize environmental impact and material tracking is central to turning sustainability goals into operational reality. The updated suite introduces automated composition roll-ups for reporting, centralized certificate management to track supplier expiry dates, and tools designed to evaluate recyclability during the earliest stages of product creation.

Fabrice Canonge, CEO of Centric Software, emphasized that product transparency is no longer optional for market survival. By moving away from siloed data, the company intends to provide brands with the agility required to navigate evolving market expectations. The update reflects a broader industry trend where the integration of AI-powered governance is becoming the primary foundation for innovation and regulatory compliance.
