Sandbox Interactive Partners with Anti-Cheat Expert for Albion Online

At this year’s Gamescom in Cologne, developer Sandbox Interactive confirmed a deal to integrate Anti-Cheat Expert (ACE) into the Android version of its flagship MMORPG, Albion Online. The collaboration, supported by Tencent Cloud, aims to fortify the game’s complex player-driven economy against evolving security threats and exploitation.

The integration of ACE Anti-Cheat Standard is scheduled to launch by the third quarter of 2026. For Sandbox Interactive, the decision follows over a year of rigorous technical evaluation and consultation. Jon Davis, the studio's technical director, noted that the move provides the necessary detection coverage and strengthens two-way validation between the client and the server, complementing the game's existing security infrastructure.

This partnership marks the fourth consecutive year ACE has utilized Gamescom to showcase its full-lifecycle security framework. With two decades of experience, the firm focuses on protecting virtual economies and competitive integrity across mobile and PC platforms. By combining technical defense with game threat intelligence, the security suite moves beyond reactive measures toward continuous lifecycle management, an essential shift for live-service titles where combat, resource production, and trading are deeply interconnected.
