Medical research increasingly identifies obstructive sleep apnea as a primary contributor to hypertension, atrial fibrillation, and stroke. By aligning Philips’ established health technology infrastructure with HoneyNaps’ FDA-authorized diagnostic algorithms, the companies intend to bridge the current gap between sleep medicine and cardiology.

This collaboration focuses on identifying new healthcare business models that leverage biosignal sensing and clinical insights. Sean Ha, President of HoneyNaps USA, noted that the initiative will prioritize the integration of patient sleep data with cardiovascular risk factors to develop comprehensive care strategies. Beyond immediate diagnostic improvements, the firms plan to launch joint academic initiatives to solidify their presence in both the hospital and home-care markets.
