ePointZero Acquires Majority Stake in Pan-African Power Producer Azura
Abu Dhabi-based energy investor ePointZero has reached an agreement to acquire a 90% stake in Azura Power Holdings, a major independent power producer operating across Nigeria, Senegal, and Mozambique. The deal provides the platform with long-term capital to expand its 752 MW portfolio and develop a 1.5 GW growth pipeline.

Azura Power serves as a critical utility provider, generating approximately 10% of the grid baseload power in each of its three host countries. With electricity demand in Africa projected to double by 2040, ePointZero leadership identified the acquisition as a strategic move to capitalize on the continent’s industrial growth. The platform plans to utilize the existing management expertise and established relationships with national utilities to accelerate the construction of gas and renewable energy projects currently in the development pipeline.
