Kalshi Seals Exclusive US Open Prediction Partnership

The U.S. Tennis Association has named Kalshi its exclusive prediction market partner, securing a high-profile presence at the tournament just as the main draw begins in New York. The deal effectively locks out rival platforms from advertising across the venue and official tournament broadcasts, including ESPN coverage.

Kalshi Seals Exclusive US Open Prediction Partnership

The partnership, finalized immediately following last week’s qualifying rounds, marks a significant acceleration in the USTA’s commercial strategy. While the organization previously considered waiting until 2027 to enter the prediction market space, the arrival of new CEO Craig Tiley on July 20 shifted the timeline, with Tiley instrumental in pushing for an agreement covering the current tournament.

Despite the immediate start, the integration remains in early stages; as of Sunday, Kalshi was absent from the official partner list and company materials still carried disclaimers regarding their lack of affiliation with the event. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The move highlights Kalshi’s aggressive push into sports betting, even as the platform remains embroiled in complex litigation. The company is currently battling state regulators in Nevada, New York, and Baltimore, where authorities argue that its event contracts function as unlicensed sports wagering, a claim Kalshi denies by citing its status as a federally regulated designated contract market.
