Robinhood Chain Surges to Brief Revenue Lead Over Ethereum

A snapshot from a rolling DeFiLlama dashboard on August 31 placed Robinhood Chain at the top of the daily application revenue rankings, with $2.66 million recorded over 24 hours. This figure momentarily eclipsed established networks like Ethereum, Hyperliquid, and Base, driven by a surge in specific protocol activity.

Robinhood Chain Surges to Brief Revenue Lead Over Ethereum

The spike in revenue highlights the volatile nature of rolling 24-hour metrics, which fluctuate as new transaction data enters the calculation window. During this specific snapshot, Robinhood Chain outperformed Hyperliquid’s $1.71 million and Ethereum’s $1.57 million. The total was bolstered heavily by three primary applications—GMGN, Pons, and Uniswap—which collectively accounted for approximately 93% of the network’s daily application earnings.

GMGN led the group with $1.11 million in retained fees, followed by Pons at $1.03 million and Uniswap at $327,707. These figures represent fees retained by the protocols themselves after accounting for liquidity providers and referral commissions, rather than direct income for Robinhood Markets. While the daily data shows significant momentum, longer-term trends tell a different story. Over a 30-day period, Ethereum and Hyperliquid continue to lead the market, with Robinhood Chain’s performance heavily dependent on current token launches and speculative trading activity on its Layer 2 network. Whether this daily lead signals a permanent shift or a temporary anomaly remains to be seen as the network builds its user base.
