Luchenta’s entry into the medical aesthetics sector follows nearly a decade of experience in the technology industry. After six years at Meta and a tenure at McKinsey, he sought a more tangible entrepreneurial path, ultimately identifying VIO Med Spa’s clinical, physician-guided model as a prime investment. His current focus involves strengthening operations and team support at the existing Richardson and McKinney sites, which serve as the anchor for his broader North Texas expansion strategy.

Former Meta Executive Expands VIO Med Spa Presence in North Texas
Joseph Luchenta, a former Meta and McKinsey executive, has acquired two VIO Med Spa locations in Richardson and McKinney. This investment marks a strategic pivot for the Harvard MBA, who is also set to develop a new facility in the rapidly expanding community of Prosper, Texas.

Ryan Rao, Chief Development Officer at VIO Med Spa, noted that Luchenta’s move aligns with the company’s goal of building density in high-priority markets. The brand, recognized as the top medical spa franchise in Entrepreneur magazine’s 2026 rankings, currently operates 65 locations across 20 states. Following his acquisition in the second quarter of 2026, Luchenta plans to spend the next 18 to 24 months optimizing the two established centers before initiating site selection for the new Prosper location.
