LightMake Debuts L4 Desktop Printer With Linear Motor Drive
Shenzhen-based LightMake has unveiled the L4, a desktop 3D printer featuring four independent print heads driven by linear motors. Capable of reaching travel speeds of 1,000 mm/s, the machine targets professional studios by combining high-speed output with a vibration-damping system designed to minimize mechanical failure.
Designed for scalability, the unit offers a build volume of up to 354 × 386 mm. To maintain structural integrity at high speeds, the machine employs a die-cast frame and a proprietary Vibration Cancellation Algorithm that syncs X and Y axis movements to counteract inertial forces. For larger operations, the L4 includes Smart Cluster Management software capable of coordinating up to 1,000 units, allowing individual creators to manage small-scale print farms through mobile integration.
