ISC2 Turns Security Congress Into Interactive Policy Workshop

The new initiative shifts the conference structure from traditional presentation formats toward a community-driven model. Attendees will participate in six distinct sessions tackling critical industry pain points, ranging from the national security implications of water infrastructure resilience to the long-term evolution of cyber workforce pathways. By utilizing live polling, scenario-based prompts, and peer-led reflection, the sessions aim to bridge the gap between individual practitioner experience and organizational advocacy.

"The future of cybersecurity cannot be shaped from the sidelines," said ISC2 CEO Scott Beale. "We are creating a more direct path for members to contribute their expertise to the work ISC2 is leading across standards, ethics, AI, and national security." These sessions, alongside the previously unveiled AI Incident Rooms, represent a deliberate attempt to capture the collective intelligence of the organization’s 270,000-member base. The goal is to transform real-world challenges encountered on the front lines into actionable guidance for the broader profession. Early bird registration for the event, which runs from October 24-28 at the Gaylord Rockies, remains open through September 9.
