VIN Foundation Opens Applications for 2027 Mike Dunn Veterinary Scholarship

Two aspiring veterinarians starting their studies in the United States next fall will receive up to $140,000 each in tuition support. The 2027 Mike Dunn, DVM Veterinary Student Scholarship, established by Becky Godchaux, is now accepting applications for students dedicated to the practice of companion animal medicine.

VIN Foundation Opens Applications for 2027 Mike Dunn Veterinary Scholarship

Becky Godchaux launched this scholarship initiative in 2023 to honor her veterinarian, Dr. Mike Dunn. Driven by the belief that canine well-being relies on high-quality medical care, Godchaux designed the award to cultivate a new generation of practitioners who mirror Dunn’s professional standards. Recipients are chosen based on their commitment to companion animal health, with the funding covering up to four years of their veterinary education.

Beyond financial aid, the VIN Foundation integrates winners into a broader support network. Awardees gain access to mentorship, mental health resources, and debt management tools provided by the foundation’s existing programs. Candidates interested in the 2027 cycle must submit their applications by October 1, 2026, through the official VIN Foundation portal.
