The architecture operates as a dual-layer system. Sensitive corporate information, such as supplier identities and pricing, remains on a restricted Hyperledger Fabric network. Simultaneously, the platform generates cryptographic proofs for each event, anchoring them to the Cardano blockchain. This allows auditors and regulators to verify that a specific record existed at a certain time and has not been altered, without exposing the underlying business data.
Azzas 2154, Latin America’s largest fashion group, is currently using this system to trace its leather supply chain. The company integrates fiscal documents and official government databases to build an auditable history, aiming for full traceability of its leather products by 2030. This push for transparency aligns with emerging European Union regulations, specifically the Digital Product Passports mandated by the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation.
